PEKIN - Lifelong resident of
the Pekin area, Elton C. Blacklock,
70, died at his home, Upper Moun-
tain Rd., Monday (Sept. 16, 1957).
He was born in the Town of Lewis-
ton Aug. 4, 1887, a son of the
late John and Bertha Heiden
Blacklock.
For 19 years, Mr Blacklock
was employed by the C. F. Treichler
and Sons Florists. Sanborn.
a n d for another 15 years as a
lathe operator at the Great Lakes
Carbon Corp . Niagara Falls. He
retired two years ago.
Mr Blacklock was a member of
Forest Lodge, 100K, Sanborn and
the Woodsmen of the World.
Survivors include his wife. Bertha
Hudson Blacklock: one daughter.
Mrs. Burton Ashby, Colonial
Village; one brother, Edgar Black-
lock, St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sis-
ters, Mrs. Maude Holliday, St. Pe-
tersburg, and Mrs. Alexander
Bradt, Niagara Falls; one grand-
son and two step-granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held at
the Pike Funeral Home, Hoover
Rd., Sanborn, Thursday afternoon
at 2 with the Rev. W. Donald
Housser. pastor of the Sanborn
and Pekin Methodist Churches, officiating.
Burial will be in North
Ridge Cemetery.
