- Freda P. Blackmon (Steinhelper) age 82, of the City of Tonawanda, passed away on January 8th, following a brief illness. Freda had worked as a LPN at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed attending the Tonawanda Senior Center and playing BINGO. She had been a volunteer at the St. Francis Clothes Closet. She was the wife of the late Donald Blackmon. Beloved mother of Donald D. Blackmon Jr., Sandra Hettinger, and Douglas F. Blackmon. Grandmother of 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Fretthold & Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam St., in Tonawanda, on Thursday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon. Graveside services will be held privately at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
