the engagement of their daughter,

The marriage of,Miss Bette Anne
Blackwell, daughter of Mrs. John
Blackwell, of Twenty-sixth street,
and Private Alfred Ruopp. stationed
at Scribner, Nebraska, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Martin Ruopp,of Maple
avenue, was solemnised last evening
at 5 o'clock in the Zion Lutheran
church, with the Rev. Arthur R.
Schmoyer, D. D.,officiating,
The bride wore a smart frock of
beige fashioned on street-length
lines with purple accessories. Her
corsage was of orchids.
Mrs. Jack Murray, sister of the
bride, wore an aqua frock with corsage
of yellow roses and gladioli.
Mr. Thomas Krell was the best
man.
Immediately after the ceremony
there was a smell reception at the
h o m e of Mr. and Mrs. Murray, of
Bell street.
The mother of the bride wore a
gown of navy blue with touches of
white. Her corsage was of blue iris
and daffodils. The mother of the
bridegroom wore a gown of purple
velvet with corsage of yellow rose
buds and blue Iris.
After a short wedding trip Private
Ruopp will return t o Scribner,
Nebraska, where he is stationed,
and the bride will reside temporarily
with her mother.
