- Marvin Sisney, Jr., 84, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on December 5, 2015 at O.L.P Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. A life-long resident of Niagara Falls, NY, he was the loving son of the late Anthony “Cubby” and Sylvia (Peters) Colucci.
Marvin served in the United States Army during the Korean War until his honorable discharge. On April 18, 1952, he married Nancy V. (Elia) Sisney at St. Joseph’s Church in Niagara Falls. She predeceased him on October 8, 2015 after 63 beautiful years together.
Mr. Sisney was employed at Wendt’s Dairy for over 30 years until his retirement. Following his retirement, he continued to stay active by working the Maid of Mist. He was also an avid bowler, winning many tournaments in Niagara Falls and Rochester.
Marvin was a fan of the Oakland Raiders, Detroit Tigers and founding member of the “Ground Hoggers Club.” Above all, Marvin enjoyed vacationing with his wife in Florida during the winter months. He will be remembered as an easy going person who enjoyed having a good time with his friends and family.
Mr. Sisney is survived by his nieces and nephews, Richard (Lynne) Calipari, Maria (Lewis) Custode, Edward (Julie) Clark, Robert (Maryanne) Elia, Diane (late Raymond) Walter; grandnieces Christina Custode, Grace Walter, Natalie Walter, Leah (Andrew) DeSabio and grandnephew Todd Ellmann. Marvin is also survived by his brother-in-law, Peter (late Mary) Elia, as well as numerous friends and relatives.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 9, from 10 - 11:15 A.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin with a prayer service at 11:15 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph’s Church, 1413 Pine Ave, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
