- October 24, 2013 Joseph S. Lorenc Anonymous The Tonawanda News The Tonawanda News Thu Oct 24, 2013, 04:04 PM EDT KENMORE — Joseph S. Lorenc, 86, passed peacefully at The McAuley Residence on Tuesday October 22, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. His parents, Jakub and Barbara (nee Mierzwa) Lorenc; siblings, Eugenia "Jean" and William Royer, Frank (Frances) Stella, Jane (Pete) Whitman; and his loving wife, Frances (nee Moskal) Lorenc predeceased him. He was employed as a cost estimator for Applied Designs in North Tonawanda. He enlisted into the United States Army and served his country honorably during World War II from 1945 through 1947. Joseph is survived by his step-son, Dennis (Debra) Regnier; brother of Cecelia "Sally" (late Chuck) Garthwaite, Edwin (late Lillian), Edward (Nancy), Henry (MaryAnn) Lorenc and Mary (late David) Zombotti; step-grandchildren, Derik, Danielle, Dana, Lynne and three step great-grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. Family and friends please assemble at church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa R.C. Church, 626 Oliver St., North Tonawanda. Following the mass, the United States Army Honor Guard will conduct full military honors. An inurnment service will be scheduled at the convenience of the family at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Kenmore.
