Mrs; Minnie ' Blodgett Pierce
died a h e r residence, Bear Lake,
May 17, 1934. Mrs. Pierce was
born June 13, 1876, in Pomfret,
the daughter of Milo, Blodgett.
She had married Luther Leroy
Pierce, who survives. She had
been ill two years.
Resides her husband, two
children survive: Howard W.
Pierce, Stockton, and Luther L.
Pierce, Jr., of Cortland, New
York. The following sisters and
brother are also living: Mrs.
Addle Bull, Gowanda; Mrs,. Lillian
Weaver, Roekville, Md,; Mrs.
Pearl Powell, Fredonia; and S. B.
Blodgett. Brocton. She has four
grandchildren: Kathleen, Janet,
Luther, and James Pierce.
Mrs. Pierce was a member of
the Stockton Methodist church
Qrange No. 1, Predonia, and the
Bear Lake sewing Society.
The funeral was held Saturday,
May19 from the residence.
Rev. Robert Puller of Stockton
officiated.
'Bearers: were Boyd Blodgett,
Elbert Blodgett, Maurice Blodgett,
Ralph Blodgett, Luther Bull,
and William Snell.
It was one of the: largest funerals
held at Bear Lake with
many attending from all nearby
towns. Among those in attendance
from out of town were:
Mr. and Mrs. Luther Pierce
Cortland; Mrs. Lillian Weaver,
Roekville, Md.; Mrs. Addie Bull,
Gowanda; Dr. and Mrs. Forest
Blodgett, Ithaca; and Mr. Loyal
Blodgett, Auburn.
