- Obituary of Mary L. Bernoski
Mary L. Bernoski, 81, of Lackawanna, NY passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 17, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Moore) Jackson.Mary loved listening to music, especially on WJYE 96.1. She was a devote catholic and was a member of a prayer group. She also was an animal lover, who enjoyed everything that came with caring for and loving animals.She is survived by her son, John C. Bernoski Jr.; grandchildren, Jaren, James Jr., Anthony and Trisha; great-grandchild, Everest and sister in-law, Rosemary "Rose" Jackson. Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, John C. Bernoski Sr.; sons, Jason T. Bernoski and James Payne; brothers, Joseph Jackson, Thomas Jackson Jr. and Robert Jackson; sister, Frances Sorley.Friends may call Friday, December 10th from 5-8PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor of Welch, Ave Niagara Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will begin 12:30 PM on Saturday, December 11th at Holy Family of Jesus Mary & Joseph Parish (St. Joseph's site), 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
