RANSOMVILLE - Robert L. Leggett, 51, of 2500 Parker Road, a lifelong area resident, died today (Dec. 14, 1977) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness.An operator at the Niagara Stone Co. in Niagara Falls for 30 years, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the Dickersonville Methodist Church, a former past president of the of the Ransomville Fire Co., a member of the Exempt Company, the board of fire commissioners of the Ransomville District, American Legion O. Leo Curtis's Post 830, and the Ransomville Conservation Club.He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Peters Leggett; his mother, Mrs. Lawrence (Pearl) Leggett of Ransomville; three sons, Robert C., Steven R., and Michael J., all at home; a sister, Mrs. Anthony (June) Moshamo of Ontario, N. Y.; a brother, William Leggett of Ransomville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hardison Funeral Home, with the Rev. Arthur Northrup of the Dickersonville Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the North Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Contributions may be made to the Dr. William T. Wallens Cancer Clinic, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, the family said.
