  Lockport NY Union Sun Journal - 8/22/1946 A member of the Royalton Town Board, Charles H. Bower, 75, of the Riddle Road, died at 5 o'clock this morning in Lockport City Hospital after an illness of two months. Mr. Bower was a town councilman and former peace Justice. He had been on the town board 10 years. Born in Royalton, Mr. Bower spent most of his life in farming in the Riddle Road. At one time he operated a threshing machine with which he threshed grain for many farmers of Niagara County. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lottie Bower: a son, Raymond Bower, Royalton; two grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Kate Cook and Mrs. May Claude, of this vicinity. Services will be held Sunday at 2:30 at the family home. Burial will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.
