OLEAN- Rachel B. Cromwell of Olean, went home to be with her
Lord on Saturday, October 31, 2009 in The Pines Health & Rehab
Center in Olean. She was born on January 24, 1935 in Salamanca, a
daughter of the late Ronald and Myrtle Blowers Hamilton. On May
30, 1953 in Tonawanda, she married Keith E. Cromwell who survives.
Mrs. Cromwell was a graduate of Rushford Central School and a
member of the Belfast Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed bird
watching and cooking, but her greatest fulfillment was spending time
with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband, daughters, Gwen Ladd of
Olean, Debbie (Michael) Stamp of Corfu; grandchildren, Heidi, Sean,
Dustin and Adrienne; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends gathered on Tuesday, November 3 from 2:00-
4:00pm at the Creekside Chapel in Allegany. Funeral services
followed. Rev. Robert Mackmer, pastor of the Belfast Free Methodist
Church and Rev. Melvin McGinni, former pastor of the Belfast Free
Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in White Cemetery, Rushford.
