Ronald G. Pepperday, age 88, of North Tonawanda, died Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Niagara Hospice House after a long illness. Born April 10, 1932 in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Fred and Anna (nee Molleca) Pepperday. Mr. Pepperday was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Tonawandas Post No. 264, American Legion. He had been employed at Roadway Express for 27 years before retiring in 1990, and was a 60 year member of the Free and Accepted Masons.
He was the father of Lisa (Larry) Lichtenstein of Clarence, NY, Tammy (Rey) Batista of Hollywood, FL, Lyn (Frank) Cook of Cheektowaga, NY, and Traci Savage of Missoula, MT; grandfather of Daniel (Nicole) Lopez, Richard (Kristen) Veihdeffer III, Alyssa (Albert Gomez) Lopez, and Saralyn (Joshua) Owen; great grandfather of Sebastian Saucedo and Savannah Veihdeffer; brother of Dolores Coval of Philipsburg, PA and the late Fred Pepperday; brother-in-law of Joan M. Pepperday; uncle of Fredrick “Rick” (Judy) Pepperday, Denise (John) Zielski, Karen (Dennis) Grapes, Kim Pusch, Jennifer (Timothy) Braun, and Nannette Derry. Also surviving are many great nieces and nephews.
Services will be cared for privately. If desired, memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, are preferred.
