St. Mary's Church in Albion was the
scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday
morning, June 17, 1944, when
Miss Eleanor Dorothy Karls, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Karls, and
Harold Smith Boccaccio, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Boccaccio, were
united in marriage at a nuptial high
mass. The Rev. Melinski performed
the ceremony before the altar banked
with roses and pink and white peonies.
The bride, who was given in mar-
riage by her father, Stanley Karls,
was gowned in white georgette with
lace inserts, en train, and fingertip
veil, with a wreath of orange blossoms.
She carried a bridal bouquet of
white roses and lilies of the valley.
Miss Arlene Socciarelli, maid of
honor, wore a gown of yellow net over
satin, with lavender accessories, and
carried an old-fashioned bouquet of
yellow roses. Miss Loraine Rice and
Miss Loraine Stucco acted as bridesmaids.
Their gowns were fashioned
alike, one being pink net over satin,
the other blue net over satin. They
carried old-fashioned bouquets. Arnold
Basinait was best man for the groom.
Following the ceremony a reception
was held at St. Mary's Hall for 150
guests. After a wedding trip to the
Thousand Islands and other points of
interest, Mr. and Mrs. Boccaccio will
reside in Buffalo.
Pre-nuptial events included a variety
shower held at Maple Manor by
Mrs. Harold Trolley and Mrs. Arnold
Basinait.
