  North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 1/20/1972 PLACE - Emma A. Place, 71. of 38 Douglas St., Tonawanda. Wednesday (Jan. 19, 1972) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. A resident of Tonawanda for the greater part of her life, Mrs. Place was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, the Salem Home Department, the Degree of Pocahontas. Swiftwater Council No. 186 and the Golden Agers of the Salvation Army. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Esther) Chase, of Tonawanda; Mrs. William (Beatrice) Vogt of Chesapeake, Va., and Mrs. John (Carol) Hoover; a son, Morris Place of Springville, also surviving are 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Elmer Bockhahn of Tonawanda, and a sister, Mrs. Arnold (Loretta) Graf of North Tonawanda. Friends may call at their convenience at the Ham Funeral Home, Inc., Adam- Seymour Sts.. Tonawanda. where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Karl H.A. Rest will officiate. Interment in Acacia Park-Resthaven Cemetery.
