NIAGARA FALLS —
John Michael Sepielli, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, died on December 31, 2013, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. He was born in Niagara Falls on February 19, 1936, the son of Michael F. and Mary (Yarussi) Sepielli.
He attended local schools and was graduated from Niagara Falls High School, Class of 1954. He then enlisted in the U.S. Airforce Reserves , which he served for six years. He was the Owner/Operator of Universal Paving for over 40 years, retiring in 2010. A family man, John loved being with his family and simply adored his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Priscilla (Vazza) Sepielli; children, Michael Sepielli (Cindy) of Ransomville, Tricia Alfiere (James) of Lewiston; siblings, Bruce Sepielli of Virginia and Angela Basile of Ransomville; grandchildren, Nicolette Sepielli, Johnny Sepielli, Danielle Lazeration, Brandon Lazeration, Cody Alfiere, Alexis Alfiere, Tesha Hibbard (Michael) and James Alfiere, Jr. (Hailey); beloved uncle and aunts, Mario Yarussi (Marie) and Patrina Morreale; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by uncles, Paul Morreale and Ernie Lucantonio; and his aunt, Connie Lucantonio.
Friends may call on Friday from 5-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where prayers will be said on Saturday at 11:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM in Holy Family Parish of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph's. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls.
