Gottfried Strehler, 70 years old,
a resident of this city for more than
50 years, died late yesterday afternoon
at his home, 1615 Niagara
street, after a brief Illness with
pneumonia.
Mr. Strehler, who was born in
Switzerland, came here 51 years ago
and for manv years was an employe
of the Shredded Wheat company.
He retired six years ago.
He is survived by his wife. Augusta:
three step-children. Herbert and
Arthur Michel and Mrs. Howard
Gromoll; three nephews, Carl Schneider,
William Bachmann and Max
Bachmann, all of this city, and a
brother and sister In Switzerland.
Private funeral serevices will be
held from the home Thursday at 2 p.
m., with public services at Trinity
Evangelical Lutheran church. 1341
South avenue, at 2:30 pm. Interment
will be In Memorial Park cemetery.
