William G. Everest II

BUFFALO — William G. Everest II, "Bill" of Niagara Falls, died Monday, January 13, 2013 in Mercy Hospital, Buffalo. He was 72. He was born in Niagara Falls on December 10, 1941, the son of William and Bernice (Blandin) Everest. Bill was a graduate of Lewiston Porter High School, class of 1959, and was a US Army veteran.
He worked for Occidental Chemical Company, retiring in 2002 as supervisor. Following his retirement, he worked summers for the Maid of the Mist Corp and enjoyed volunteering at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center's Endoscopy Unit. He also was an active member of his housing community, Wildwood Acres, serving as President of its Phase A Association.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Altimari (Pete) of Fayetteville, TN and Kathleen McCormick (Joe) of Lackawanna; his sister, Elizabeth Fusco (late Vincent) of the Town of Niagara; grandchildren, Alyssa, Ryan, Meagan and Gabe; six nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Marilyn Voelker.
The family will be present Friday from 3-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will be held Saturday 11 AM. The interment will be in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria, NY. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Roswell Park or Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center Foundation.
