HOEFERT - Lt. Fred W. Hoefert, 63, of 1143 Nash Rd., North Tonawanda, died Tuesday ( September 27, 1960) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was born on Grand Island, N. Y., and had resided in North Tonawanda most of his life. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and the North Tonawanda Policemen's Club. He served with the North Tonawanda Police Department for 34 years. Survivors include his wife, Marion (nee Jendrian) Hoefert; six daughters, Mrs. Robert (Helena) Reischel, Mrs. Lanny (Dorothy) Miller, Mrs. Kenneth (Pearl) Howard, Mrs. Norman (Lillian) Koepsell, Mrs. Stanley (Violet) Armol and Mrs. Theodore (June) Kasprzak, all of North Tonawanda; two sons, Kenneth A. Hoefert and Douglas D. Werth, both of North Tonawanda; 21 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Paula Wilke, Lakeland, N. J., Mrs. Sherman Loud of New York City and Mrs. James Lillis of Buffalo, and three brothers, Henry, Frank and Herman Hoefert of North Tonawanda. Friends may call at the Hilliard Funeral Home, 147 Delaware St., Tonawanda, where services will be Friday at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Adolph Moldenhauer will officiate. Burial in St. Matthew's Cemetery.
