Funeral services for a prominent
lumberman and former Lockport
resident, Joseph N. Bonin,
were held Saturday at the Lynett
Funeral Home, 389 Parkside Ave.,
at Amherst Street. Buffalo, at
9:15 a.m. and from the St. John
the Baptist Church at 10 a.m.
Mr. Bonin, who died suddenly
Wednesday, (March 7, 1962) at
his home, 113 Byron Ave , Kenmore,
lived in Lockport at 9
Howard Ave , and later on Hyde
Park for many years. While here,
he was the manager of the L. N.
Whistle Lumber Co.
When the company moved to
Buffalo, in 1939, Mr. Bonin was
transferred and the family moved
there.
He was a member of the Holy
Name Society of St. John the
Baptist Church.
His wife, Olga L Reisterer Bonin,
died in 1958. He is survived
by two daughters, Marilyn L.;
Sally J. and a son, Daniel J. Bonin,
all of Buffalo; a brother,
Stanley Dion of Fitchburg, Mass.;
a sister, Mrs. Aremie Lamarche
of Cornwall, Ont., Canada; and
three grandchildren.
