- The Tonawanda News - Sun Mar 02, 2014, 04:12 PM EST TONAWANDA - Thomas D. Lewis entered into rest on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the VA Hospital of Buffalo at the age of 68. Born on November 9, 1945 in Lockport, NY, the son of the late Cameron and Nina (nee Nepokroeff) Lewis. Thomas graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1964 and the University of Buffalo earning his Masters in Social Work. He retired from the VA Hospital of Buffalo in 2009 after 23 years service. Thomas loved to work on cars and around the house. He is survived by his beloved companion of 28 years, Peggy Ann Marciano; loving stepson, Victor J. (Lisa) Marciano; caring siblings, Richard (Alice), Gary (Vicki), Virginia (Douglas) Pritting, Joan (Michael) Buffamonti, David (Maureen) and Ronald (Sharon); dear brother-in-law, Richard (Joan) Lachman. Also survived by nieces and nephews. The family will be present on Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the (Tonawanda Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2600 Sheridan Drive (corner of Parker Blvd.), where prayers will be offered on Thursday at 8:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from St. Christopher Church at 9:30 AM.
