  Batavia NY Daily News Akron, April 23.-Charles Borchert died on Monday night In his home on Main street after a lingering illness. He was 84 years old and had lived In this community many years. He was active In Republican politics and was truant officer for many years and also chief of police. The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Paul Kemmets In the German M. S3. church Thursday afternoon and the burial will be in Evergreen Lawn cemetery- Mr. Borchert leaves a wife, one son and four daughters, Harold Borchert and Mrs. William Gay of this place and Mrs. Walter Fraser, Mrs. Fred Kirchgessner and Mrs. Daniel Bender of Buffalo, and one brother. William Borchert of Akron.
