  Notes	Niagara Gazette - 12/7/1945 LOCKPORT Dec 7- Three ser- vicemen were among five persons who obtained severance of their marital ties in interlocutory decrees signed by Supreme Court Justice Lee Ottawa,, of Jamestown, which were filed Wednesday in the county clerk's office. In other decrees filed: Ethel E. Latia. of Sanborn. N. Y , obtained a divorce from Earl S. Latta. of Niagara Falls. N. Y . and LaVern E. Elster .195 Cottage street, Lockport, obtained a divorce from Hazel E. Elster. Mrs. Latta, who was married De- cember 1 1920, at Sterling, Ont. was granted custody of three children and Mr. Latta was directed to pay $20 a week for their support.

  Niagara Gazette - 6/11/1955 Funeral services for Earl Latta, 51, of 1350 North Ave, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul B. Miller, chaplain of DeVeaux School, officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Latta died Wednesday (June 8, 1955) in Mt. St. Mary's.Hospital. He had become ill while working on Monday. A resident here for 34 years, Mr. Latta was employed at the time of his death at the Niagara Falls Country Club, Lewiston Heights. His first employment here was with the former Shredded Wheat Co. for 10 years. Later he worked for .21 years at the Acheson Graphite Co. and. then at DeVeaux School. He was a native of Belleville, Ortt. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Latta; a daughter, Mary Lou Latta, Middleport; two sons, Carl Latta, Carp Lake, Mich., and Jack Latta, Rochester; his mother, Mrs. Bertha Latta, Kingston, Ont.; a brother, Delbert Latta, Kingston; and two grandchildren.
