- Marjorie (nee Canham) Hale, age 97, of North Tonawanda, died Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility after a long illness. Born in Barre, NY, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Stella (nee Miller) Canham and had been a resident of North Tonawanda for the greater part of her life. She had been a member of North Presbyterian Church, a member of the Senior Citizens and a volunteer for the Clothes Closet in North Tonawanda. Marjorie was the wife of the late Irving C. Hale, who died in 1989, and the mother of the late Beverly A. Baker, who died last year.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Anita (Jim) Stilwell of Florida and Donna (Bill) Fox of Lyndonville, NY; and a son, Gary D. Hale of Grand Island, NY. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
There is no visitation. Arrangements were cared for privately at the convenience of the family, followed by inurnment of her cremains at White Chapel Memorial Park, Town of Amherst. If desired, memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, are preferred by the family.
