  Albany NY Knickerbocker News - 1/23/1948 George Wingar Boughton, Alps, died today at the home of Ms daughter, Mrs. Robert M. Nelson, Dutch Village, Menands. Born in Chatham, Mr. Bough- ton had been a resident of Alps most of his life. Retired, he ws associated for 23 years with Boughton & Peck, haberdashers, Broadway. Besides his daughter, survivors include his wife, the former Katharine Newman; a sister, Mrs. Park F. Mattison, Slingerland, three grandsons and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Tebbutt Memorial Chapel, 176 State St. The Rev. Bradey J. Follensbee of Bethany Presbyterian Church Menands, will officiate. Burial will be at Sand Lake.
