George M. Jago, age 77, died January 14, 2023 in his home following a brief illness. He was born June 14, 1945 in the Town of Royalton to Melvin and Dorothy (Fitch) Jago and was a life-long resident of the area.
George was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a member of the New York State and National Trappers Associations as well as the NRA. He loved to hunt, trap, and be outdoors. One of his greatest joys however, was to be with his family as he was a loving husband and father.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Lois, his daughters: Luann Tobin of Wrights Corners, Laura (Michael) Bishop of Lockport, his brothers: Fred (Dorothea) Jago of Wolcottsville, William (Darlene) Jago of Akron, his sister: Brenda (Les) Bower of Lockport, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends FRIDAY from 10-11am in Trinity Lutheran Church, 6369 Wolcottsville Rd., Akron, NY, 14001 where his Funeral Service will follow at 11am. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
