Vincent J. Bowler, 70, of 251
Roby Street, a former truck
farmer and state employe, died
Saturday (April 13, 1968) at Briody
Nursrng Home where he
had been a patient since last
Dec. 31.
Born Jan. 24, 1898, in Lockport,
he was a son of Vincent
and Ursula Batt Bowler, and
has been a lifelong Lockport
resident.
His wife, Ada Bowler, died in
January, 1961.
For many years, Mr. and Mrs.
Bowler operated a truck farm
and delivered his produce in the
city from a horse-drawn wagon.
Before his retirement seven
years ago, he worked several
years for the New York State
Department of Public Workds
as a lift bridge operator.
He is survived by one daughter,
Mrs. LaVerne (Verna) Miller
of Lockport; a sister, Mrs.
Leona Cunningham of Ken
more; two brothers, Kenneth
Bowler of Lockport and Arthur
Bowler of Gasport; one granddaughter,
Sandra Rounds of
Lockport; also several nieces
and nephews.
Friends may call at their convenience
at the Lange Funeral
Home, 186 East Ave., where funeral
services will be held at 2
p.m. tomorrow.
