A gown of blue taffeta and nylon
net was chosen by Miss Catherine
Billman, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles F. Billman of Buffalo,
for her marriage to James
WiUlam Bowler, son of Mr. and
Mrs. James O. Bowler of Lockport,
Saturday at 11 o'clock in the
rectory of St. Francis De Sales
Church, Buffalo. The Rev. Michael
J. Harrington, director of
the Catholic Information* Center,
Buffalo, officiated.
The bride's gown was of embroidered
nylon net over taffeta
fashioned with fitted bodice and:
illusion,, neckline, long pointed'
sleeves and a full skirt. Her white
fingertip veil was caught to a cap
of white lace trimmed with seed
pearls and she carried a bouquet,
of white roses and carnations.
Mrs. James Dalgler of Olcott
was matron of honor and wore a
ballerina-length gown of yellow taffeta
and nylon net, and carried a
bouquet of yellow carnations.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father, and Donald C. Bowler,
brother of the bridegroom, acted
as best man.
A wedding breakfast to 40 was
served at Hotel Stonecroft, Buffalo,
where the reception for125 was
held from 2 to 5 o'clock. Refreshments
were served from a table
centered with a four-tiered wedding
cake with white tapers in crystal
holders on either side.
For a wedding trip to the New
England States the bride chose a
tailored suit of pink with white
accessories and a corsage of white
roses.
After May 24 the couple will
make their home in Wilson.
