The funeral was held In Buffalo
yesterday of John C. V. Kraft, 67 years
old, former Falls resident, who died In
Buffalo on Sunday after a week's illness
of pneumonia. Following the funeral
services at the home, 931 West .Ferry
street, the body was cremated at the
Buffalo Crematory and the remains Interred
In the family plot at Forest Lawn
cemetery.
Mr. Kraft, who was the husband of
the late Catherine Esslie Kraft, is survived
by two daughters, Mrs. Charles
J. Laub and Mrs. Robert T. Baker,
and one son, Esslie V. Kraft, all of Buffalo;
one brother, Charles L. Kraft,
of Niagara Falls, and one sister, Mrs.
Fred Whlttenmeyer, of Lockport.
Mr. Kraft was a native of Niagara
Falls. When he was a young man he
was employed in the printing department
of the old Suspension Bridge
Journal for a number of years. About
25 years ago he moved to Buffalo and
for a number of years was editor of
The National Odd Fellow, the official
organ of the Independent Order of Odd
Fellows. Later he entered the printing
business in Washington street, Buffalo,
and became one of the best known
printers in that city. He had a wide
circle of friends in Niagara Falls.
