NORTH TONAWANDA - A
prayer service for Dr. Frank
T. Czysz, 72, of 318 Wheatfield
St., *a. dentist, will be said
Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the
Wattengel Funeral Home.
A Requiem Mass will be
said at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis
of Assisi Church, Tonawand
a.
Burial will be In Mount Olivet
Cemetery.
Dr. Czysz died Saturday
(Sept. 25. 1971) at DeGraff
Memorial Hospital where he
had been a patient for 2!>2
weeks.
He had been in semi-retirement
for eight weeks after a
traffic accident.
Born in Buffalo, January
18,. 1899, he graduated from
Dunkirk High School and cornpi
e t e d his undergraduate
studies at the University of
Michigan, Ann Arbor, where
he played on the varsity football
team.
He was a member of the
Tonawanda's Post 264 American
Legion, North Tonawanda
Elks Lodge 860, University of
•Michigan Club, Active Hose
Co. and the Sth District Dental
Society.
He married the former
Thela Granger and attended
Michigan College, Ypsilanti in
Charlotte, Mich, in 1921.
He moved to this city in 1921
opening his office on Oliver
Street. He moved to the
Wheatfield Street address 40
years ago.
In addition to his widow,
he is survived by a son,
Thomas Czysz of this city;
four daughters, Mrs. Donald
(MaryJean) Yockey of La-
Habra, Calif., Mrs. Lawrence
(Shirley) Bowman and Mrs.
Donald (Jacqueline) Stevens
both of Tonawanda and Mrs.
Philip (Katherine) Morales of
Charlotte, Mich.; two brothe
r , Felix Czysz of Fredonia,
and Dr. Henry Czysz of Williamsville;
two sisters, Mrs.
Michael Kittell of Dunkirk and
Mrs. Glen Krickeldorf of Forest
ville, 17 grandchildren and
one great-grandchild
