- Paul Joseph Bowser Jr., 92, of Niagara Falls, New York, passed from this life on March 8, 2024, following a brief illness under the loving care of his loving niece Robin and sisters at O.L.P Nursing Care Residence.
Born on November 11, 1931 in Brookfield, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Paul and Mabel (Brosius) Bowser; and loving companion of over 45 years to the late Jean McBain.
Paul proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked at the Carborundum Co. where he later retired after many years of dedication. He loved being with his dogs and spending time at his Camp in Southern New York. An avid outdoorsman, Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also had a passion for music and especially enjoyed singing.
Paul had a special bond with his niece, Robin Vicaire, who he cherished dearly. He loved going to the casino with Robin, as well as his nephew Johnny Grannis.
In addition to his niece and nephew, Paul is survived by his two sisters, Shirley (late John) Grannis and Dixie (late Robert Lee) Jones. He was predeceased by two sisters, Ellamae (late David) Leonard and Betty (late William) Vicaire.
Robin wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of O.L.P Nursing Care Residence for the compassion and care given to Paul. Known as ‘Mr. B’ at the nursing home, where he was loved by everyone, he would frequently joke with the staff that he was a billionaire and he owned the nursing home. He will be greatly missed.
Private funeral services with interment in N.F. Memorial Park Cemetery in Lewiston, NY was held for Paul’s family. Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel.
