Steinbrenner-Knlze
Before an altar set with baskets
of peonies and spring flowers, Miss
Agnes Knize, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. James Knize, Linwood avenue,
will become the bride of Mr. Howard
C. Steinbrenner, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Steinbrenner, Tenth
street. The ceremony will be solemnized
this afternoon at 4 o'clock at
St James Methodist church, with
Rev. Chester C. Beebe officiating.
Miss Joyce Lever will sing "I Love
You Truly" and 'The Lord's Prayer"
accompanied by Mr. Earl D. Brownell
at the organ.
To be given in marriage by her
father the bride will wear a white
slipper satin princess-styled gown,
with a high lace neckline. Her fingertip
illusion veil will fall from a
Juliette cap of Madiera lace. She
will carry a prayer book centered
with Amazon lilies and stephanotis.
The only attendant will be the
bride's sister. Mrs. Kenneth Young,
who will wear a ballerina-length
mint green net gown. The bodice
will be of white Madiera lace, as
will be her headpiece. She will
carry a cascade bouquet of pink
roses and lilies-of-the-valley.
Mr. Kenneth Young will be the
best man and Mr. Henry Knize,
brother of the bride, and Mr. Walter
Baum will be the ushers.
The bride's mother will wear a
powder blue crepe dress and the
mother of the bridegroom will wear
a black crepe dress offset with pink.
Both ensembles will be complemented
with corsages of pink roses.
A reception will be held at the
home of the bride's sister from 6 tq
9 o'clock this evening, where the
bride's table' will be centered with
a three-tiered cake surrounded with
tapers.
For her trip the bride has chosen
a three-piece outfit of white sharkskin,
with beige accessories. She
will wear a corsage of gardenias.
After a tour throughout Eastern
Canada and the New England states,
Mr. and Mrs. Steinbrenner will reside
at 2463 Michigan avenue.
