  25 April 1927 Tonawanda News August Becken, 76 years old, died yesterday afternoon at his home in Bergholz. Born in Germany, he had resided in Bergholz for the past 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Fredericka; four sons, Richard and Edward Becken, Niagara Falls, N. Y.; Charles Becken, Pekin, and Albert Becken, Buffalo, two daughters, Ms. John Geltz and Mrs. Thomas Caffery, Buffalo; 13 grandchildren, and five sisters, Mrs. August King, Buffalo, Mrs. Albert (Minnie) Neubauer, Mrs. August(Henrietta) Wienke, Mrs. John Miller and Mrs. August Mikalski, North Tonawanda. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late residence and half an hour later at the Holy Ghost Church, Bergholz, Standard time. Rev. John Kuchenbecker of the Holy Ghost church will conduct the services and burial will be in the Holy Ghost cemetery.
