- Rose M. Bruno, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away at her residence on February 6, 2022. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Victoria (Lesiak) Siejka.
Rose was a 1955 graduate of LaSalle Senior High School. She earned a degree from Niagara County Community College in Criminal Justice. She was employed as a secretary for the New York Power Authority and later worked in the Niagara County Family Court / Unified Court System as a Court Attendant for 23 years until her retirement in 2010. Rose was a force to be reckoned with. She was an early member of the National Organization for Women (NOW) and a longtime member of the Youngstown Rip and Stitch Quilt Club, where she spent many joyous hours with her closest friends. She also was an American history buff, enjoyed to travel with her sisters, was an avid golfer, and loved to garden.
Rose is survived by her children, Victoria Kinan (Larry Geracitano II), Angela Bruno-Casal (Ray Casal), and Scott Bruno (Yvonne); her grandchildren, Amber Kinan, Larry Geracitano III, Patrick Lorenti (Kristine), Rosemarie Lorenti, Chantell Bruno, Anthony Bruno, and Joseph Bruno; her great grandchildren, Ashley Kinan, Keith Kinan, and John Kinan; her great-great grandchildren, Anthony and Alexander; her sisters, Maryann Pradelski, Patricia Chambers, and Victoria Siejka, as well as by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Joseph Bruno, Jr., her former husband and dear friend, Joseph P. Bruno, and her brother, Richard Siejka.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 11 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will be held at 7 PM.
