A Niagara County grand jury
today returned an indictment charging
a Niagara Falls man with vehicular
manslaughter as a result of a
double fatal auto accident on the
north Grand Island bridge June 2.
Charged with two counts of vehicular
manslaughter, third-degree
assault, driving while intoxicated
and changing lanes unsafely to Mark
J Fiorentini, 22, of 2402 Woodland
Ave.
He was arraigned this morning
before County Judge Aldn DIFlorio,
who released the suspect in his own
recognizance pending a trial date.
The accident claimed the lives of
Joseph P. Bruno, 34, and Teresa
Sirianna, 14, both of Niagara Palls,
who were passengers in a vehicle
operated by Fiorentini. Rosalind
Marrero, another passenger, suffered
injuries.
The vehicle was struck in the rear
by a tractor trailer operated by
Stephen E. Stephenson, 37, of
Caledon, Ont., who was not charged.
