- Janice DiPofi Obituary
Of Lewiston, NY passed away September 20, 2024. She was born February 1, 1940 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late William J. and Alice Jeanette (Peck) Boyle.
Jan attended business technical school and went on to work as a bookkeeper and office assistant at both Mt. Carmel and St. Peter’s churches for over 30 years.
Jan was an avid painter and drawer who never stopped learning and improving her skills. She continued to attend painting classes well into her eighties and composed dozens and dozens of oil paintings that are displayed in her home as well as the homes of her family.
While painting was one of her great joys, her greatest joy came from her love for her family. Jan was always a caring and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She always took great pride in her family and she will be missed by all.
Jan was the wife of 61 years to the late John J. DiPofi, who passed away September 18, 2020. Survived by her children Phil (Jodi) DiPofi, Daniel (Janet) DiPofi, Anne Marie (Michael) Guetta and David DiPofi, grandchildren Christina (Michael) Mastroianni, Marie (Robert) Cushman, Alex DiPofi, Ellen (Tim) Madsen, Andrea (Carson) Axtman, Michael Guetta, Sarah (Marc) Gerevics, Colleen DiPofi and Phil DiPofi, great-grandchildren Adriana, Mason, Dominic, Ella, Leah, Jack, Vincent, Rose, Cecelia, Henry "Hank", Sam, Leo, Emerson and Stella. Brother William Boyle, sisters Marilyn Murphy, Patricia Piro and Mary Skeean as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation on Wednesday, September 25 from 9:30-10AM at St. Bernards Church, 218 Hinman Street Youngstown, NY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM.
Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Donations in her name may be made to Mt. St. Marys Hospital, Lewiston, NY.
