- July 23, 2014 Marjorie Ruth Novotny Anonymous The Tonawanda News The Tonawanda News Wed Jul 23, 2014, 08:17 AM EDT TONAWANDA - Marjorie Ruth (nee Allan) Novotny of Tonawanda, age 88, passed away on July 20, 2014 at Northgate Health Care Facility. She was born on March 20, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Howard and Grace (Utley) Allan. Marjorie graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1945 and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University in 1949. She moved to Rochester and worked for the Rochester Children's Nursery before returning to North Tonawanda, where she was employed by Sports Plex. She was a member of North Presbyterian Church, on Payne Avenue in North Tonawanda. Beloved wife of the late Walter (Spin) Novotny, and is survived by her nephew, Paul (Marcia) Stolzenfels; her nieces, Marjorie (Michael) Dehlinger and Laurie (James) Kornaker; and grand-nephew, Matthew (Nicole) Stolzenfels. Marjorie is also survived by her step-daughter, Holly Yeager; step-grandchildren, Jamie Fuhr and Richard Yeager; sisters-in-law, Ruth Novotny and Marie Novotny; and her special friend, Leslie Stolzenfels. A private graveside service was held at the convenience of the family and Marjorie will be laid to rest at Elmlawn Cemetery. Arrangements by JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC.
