August Genet, 75, Area Farmer, Dies
GASPORT - August F. Genet, 75, of East Ave., died Friday (March 29, 1957) at his home after a lingering illness. He was born July 5,1881 in North Tonawanda, where he attended St. Mark's Lutheran School. His parents were Albert and Ricka Genet. Mr. Genet was married Nov. 22, 1903 to Rose Raduns, who survives. They moved to the Gasport area about 50 years ago, where he practiced farming. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville. Besides his wife, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Schultz, Appleton; four sons, Alvin, and Roy Genet, both of Lockport; and John and Albert Genet, both of Gasport; three  sisters, Mrs. Ella Strassburg, Miss Emma Genet, and Mrs. Joseph Doyle, all of North Tonawanda; three brothers, Charles and Otto Genet, both of North Tonawanda; and William Genet, Gasport; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be Monday afternoon at 2:30 in Bream Funeral Home, Main St., and at 2:45 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church. Wolcottsville. The Rev. Hilbert Huth will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
