Donna was a Registered Nurse and worked for the North Tonawanda Board of Education as a school nurse. She also had worked at DeGraff Memorial Hospital and taught nursing. She enjoyed traveling and knitting. She was the wife of the late Robert Stitt. Beloved mother of John (Barbara) Stitt, David (Sue) Stitt and Diane Stitt. Grandmother of Holly, Melissa, Rochelle (Paul), John (Caroline), Michele, Jennifer (Kevin), Alexa and Ryan; great-grandmother of Lorelai, Lirael and Audrey. Sister of the late Donald Maier; sister-in-law of Rose Maier; aunt of Donald "Butch" Maier and several other nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
