Edward W. Shineman and son.
Richard, attended the funeral of
Mrs. Ray C. Thompson at Hastings-on-
Hudson yesterday afternoon.
Mrs. Thompson, mother of Mrs.
Edward W. Shineman, Jr., Schenectady,
died Saturday after a brief
illness.

Funeral services were held on
Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Eva
Irene, Thompson of 15 Fraser
Place, Hastings-on-Hudson, who
died last Saturday in yonkers
General Hospital aftef a long illness.
The services were conducted at
the residence by the Rev. A.
George Feare, pastor of Summerfleld
Methodist Church, at 2:30
P. M. Burial followed in Mount
Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson was theĀ wife of
Ray C. Thompson, an 'executive of
the Boyce Thompson^ Institute of
Yonkers. She was born in Ontario,
Canada, a daughter of Williah H.
and Sarah Bowman BTadley, and
had resided in Hastings 19 years.'
Surviving besides her husband
are three daughters, Mrs. Charles
W. Coleman of Urbana.Ill.; Mrs.
Edward Harvill of Yonkers and
Mrs. Edward Shineman of Schen-,
ectady and a son, Private Ralph
T. Thompson, stationed at Fort
Bragg, N. C; also four grandchildren,
three sisters and two
brothers.
