- Jean M. Coleman
of Newfane wife of the late Bruce Coleman entered into rest Thursday, May 6, 2021 at home under family care. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY July 14, 1927, the daughter of the late Clifford and Ruth Wagoner Swigert. Jean was a School Teacher in Wilson Central School then was co-founder and Teacher at Newfane United Methodist Church Nursery School where she impacted many children's lives. Jean also loved camping, wintering in Florida, enjoyed watching Golf and the Buffalo Bills. She was a member of Newfane United Methodist Church and was very active in choir and church affairs. Mother of Richard (Melissa) Coleman of Newfane, Deborah (Robert) Allport in Ventura, CA. and the late Douglas Coleman. Grandmother of Jason (Shannon) Coleman, Jennifer (Ryan) Sposato, Joshua (Katie) Allport and Ashley (Nick) de Cesare. Great grandmother of Madlynn and Gavin Coleman and with two more great granddaughters on the way. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY MONDAY 3-7 PM. Where funeral services will be held TUESDAY at 10:00 AM at Newfane United Methodist Church Main St. Newfane, NY 14108. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery.
