A former secretary, Mrs. Winifred
Sutton, 71. of 7610 Chestnut
Ridge Road, died Thursday,
(Nov. 5, 1964) in Lockport Memor
al Hospital after an illness
of several months.
She was born Feb. 15, 1893 in
the Town of Newfane, daughter
of William and Martha Bowman
Branch. She was married
June 24, 1915 at the Branch
homestead, Hess Road, Town
of Newfane. Her husband, Paul
R. Sutton,, died Aug. 3,, 1958.
Mrs. Sutton attended the former
Bettinger Business School
in Lockport, and was secretary
to her father who was a wholesale
produce and cold storage
operator in Gasport for many
years. More recently, she was
employed in the cafeteria at De
Sales Catholic High School.
Mrs. Sutton was a member of
the First Baptist Church of
Lockport, Lockport Grange and
Niagara County Home Depart-
ment Extension Service.
Survivors are a daughter,,
Mrs. Mae Schuster and a grand-
son, Paul Schuster of Lockport;
three sisters, Mrs. William
Wirth of Gasport, Mrs. Joseph
G. Latta of Lockport, and Miss
Ora Branch of Newfane; a brother,
Charles Branch, Newfane;
and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at their convenience
at the Lange Funeral
Home, 186 East Ave., where funeral
serfces will be held at 3
p.m. Sunday. The family will
be present from 2 to 5 and 7 to
9. Burial will be in Chestnut
Ridge Cemetery.
