Joan R. Marshall, a life-long resident of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully September 21, 2014, after a brief illness. Born 77 years ago to the late Fred A. and Louise (Fioritta) DeLorenzo, she is survived by her husband of 57 years, Burpee W. Marshall; a daughter, Loretta; and five grandsons. She was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey. Survivors also include her step-mother, Charlotte DeLorenzo, and a sister, Carol A. (Gregg) Ross of Lewiston; brother, Paul (Kim) DeLorenzo and sister, Linda (Donald) Gray of Niagara Falls. She was predeceased by a brother, Nicholas (Nadyne) DeLorenzo.
She was an active member of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 50 years. She enjoyed gourmet cooking and decorating her home and she and her husband traveled throughout the world. Her greatest joy came from studying the Bible and comforting her neighbors by means of it in her public ministry.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 4, from 12:30 to 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2099 River Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers graciously declined. Remembrances in her name may be made to Jehovah's Witnesses, c/o 8405 Pershing Avenue, Niagara Falls NY 14304. Arrangements were made by Williamson Funeral Home.
