Wednesday morning at St. Joseph's
Church in this place, Father Hyland,
in a nuptial high mass, united in marriage
Miss Mabel Brandis, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Brandis of
Deansboro, and Raymond T. Dolan,
son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Dolan, of
this village. The church was taxed
to its capacity on this occasion by
the friends and relatives of the contracting
parties. The edifice was
handsomely decorated with the most
fragrant flowers of the season and the
effect was beautiful. The bridal couple
entered the church to the wedding
march played by Frederick Root.
Edward Martin and Miss Ada O'Toole
of Waterville and Mrs. J. J. Dolan of
Norwich assisted the . choir. The
bridesmaid* was Miss Ada Griffin of
Clinton, a close friend, and the best
man was Harry McLaughlin of this
village. The ushers were Charles E.
Doyle and Charles E. Allen, both companions
of the groom. The bride
was attired in white crepe meteor
with pearl trimmings and veil with
orange blossoms, and shower bouquet
of white rosebuds and lilies of the
valley, whiie the bridesmaid wore
coral satin and georgette with silver,
trimmings, hat of white georgette with
coral trimmings and bouquet of white
sweet peas and snapdragons. ' Mrs.
Dolan has nearly all her life resided
near Deansboro, where she is best
known and where she is held in the
very highest respect by everyone, for
by "her extreme kindness, charming
personality and talents, has acquired
friends who on this event wish her all
tho joys possible. Tho groom is a
dyed in the wool Falls boy, who has
few equals as a jolly good fellow. He
has made good in all things he undertook
and by his willingness to be
of help in everything that is for the
welfare ot his town, has built up a
clientage ot friends who hope for him
long life and years ot sunshine in the
years yet before him and his bride.
For some time he has held the responsible
position as teller in the First
National Bank and in this position he
has Memonstrated that he is a valuable
man. His courtesy and politeness
are his chief assets and by these twin
virtues he has further enlarged his
friendship. Ho is a member of the
Loyal Legion and is Interested in its
welfare. '
After a honeymoon they will take
up their residenco in their new home
after August 1st They were the recipients
of most valuable and useful
presents, including money. c,ut glass,
silver, furniture, etc. The groom's
gtift to the bride was a handsome
brooch and tho bride gave her maid a
handsomo brooch also. Tho gift lo
the best man was a set of cuff links,
and to the ushers tie clasps.
