Miss Bernlce Stolz, of Lewiston,
whose marriage to Mr. Lawrence G.
Fischer, of this city takes place
October 7 has been delightfully entertained
at. a number of parties in
honor. The Misses Ruth and
Katherine Nash and Mrs. Jean
Fischer entertained at a personal
shower, the bride-to-be receiving a
number of beautiful gifts and a
bride's book which was completed by
the guests during the evening. Mrs.
Elsie Shrader and Mrs. Philip Pack,
Jr., gave a kitchen shower at the
home of the latter. The 23 guests
presented the bride with a lovely
of dishes and kitchen accessories.,
The Misses Kay Mahoney, Mary
Pasch, Genevieve Casey, Margaret
Edwards, Mona Newton and Loretta
Johnson were hostesses at a lovely
party at the Samovar. Miss Stoltz
was the recipient of two commode
tables and lamps.
Mr. and Mrs. James Berrv, of
Main street, delightfully entertained
Miss Stoltz and Mr. Fischer at a bar
shower given at their home. During
the evening a mock wedding was
presented by several of the guests.
The couple received a number of
lovely gifts for use in their new
home.
Miss Stoltz has chosen for her
matron of honor Mrs. Philip Pack
Jr. Bridesmaids will be the Misses
Ruth and Katherine Nash. Mr.
Fischer has chosen for his rest
man Mr. William Fischer. Ushers
will be Mr. Howard Zeiger and
Pa. Paul Stoltz.

One of the loveliest of fan weddings
took place when Miss Bernke
steltz, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. David Stolte. of Lewiston.
became the bride of Lawrence
George Fischer, son of Mr. and
Mrs- John Ptecber. of this city,
Saturday, October 7. at ZJon Evangelical
Lutheran church, the Rev.
Arthur Schmoyer officiating.
pink, white and orchid flowers
in baskets and palms made a beautiful
setting for the ceremony.
Preceding the ceremony, Miss
Mary Pasch sang "I Love You
Truly., and "Because.'' Miss Olive
Sutherland presided at the organ.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, was beautiful in a
gown of white blossom moire taffeta
made on princess lines, with
sweetheart neckline and long puffed
sleeves. With this she wore a
a gold cross, a gift of the groom.
Tiny covered buttons extended
from the neckline to the waist,
which ended in a long circular
train. Her veil of illusion fell from
a halo edged with seed pearls. She
carried a shower bouquet of white
roses, mums and orange blossoms
and carried a white handkerchief
edged with lace from her mother's
wedding gown.
Mrs. Philip Pack. Jr.. matron of
honor, wore a gown of fuchsia taf-
feta with large puffed sleeves and
square neckline edged with match-
ing velvet flowers, the full skirt
of which was fashioned in bustle
style. Ribbon bows, fastened to
gold mums worn in her hair, end-
ed in streamerss falling to the hem-
line of her gown. She carried an
arm bouquet of gold mums tied
with fuchsia maline.
The bridesmaids, the Miss Ruth
and Katherine Nash, nieces of the
groom, wore gowns of deep purple
fashioned similar to that of the
matron of honor. They wore
matching head-dresses and carried
bouquets of bronze mums. Each
of the attendants wore a gold lock-
et, a gift of the bride.
Tiny Barbara Lee Pack, flower
girl, wore a long gown of pink taf-
feta with bustle back, ending in a
slight train. She carried a small
colonial bouqut of pnk mums and
wore pink mums and ribbons in her
hair.
Mr. William Fischer was best man
and the ushers were Mr. Howard
Zeiger and Mr. Frederick Ziemer.
Mrs. David Stoltz, mother of the
bride wore a black velvet dress with
black accessories. Her shoulder cor-
sage was of yellow roses. Mrs. John
Fischer, mother of the groom, wore
a grotto blue dress with brown ac-
cessories. Her corsage was of pink
roses.
Many friends and relatives at-
tended the large reception held at
the home of the bride's parents,
after which the newly married
couple left for a short honeymoon.
The bride traveled in a blue wool
suit with Dubonnet accessories.
