Trofim Laganiak, Age 89, of North Tonawanda on Monday October 20, 2014 at his residence after a long illness. Trofim was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church. Trofim was born in the Ukraine and immigrated to the United States in 1950. He was employed by Remington Rand Company and the West Seneca Developmental Center until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Beloved husband of Tatjana Laganiak. Loving father of Olga Kasprzak, Mary Laganiak, Helen (Roger) Staddon, Patrica (Leo) Castiglione, John (Michelle) Laganiak, Peter Laganiak, Janet (David Zobrist) Laganiak, Lisa (Daniel, Jr.) Brick and Tammy (Donald) Vickerd. Proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren. Friends received by the family on Wednesday, 4-8 P.M. at the Brunner Funeral Home, (692-3841), 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday morning at 10:00 at St. John the Baptist Ukranian Catholic Church, 3275 Elmwood Ave., Kenmore. Please Assemble at the Church. The family requests that memorials be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc. Flowers gratefully declined. Interment will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery.
