A surprise wedding took place this morning, when Mrs.
Lucy Bartz was married an hour after she was matron of honor
at her son's wedding. The son, Robert E. Bartz of RD 5 Dysirtger
Road, and Miss Dorothy E. Jones. Miller Road, Lockport, were
married at the Baptist Parsonage, by the Rev. Harleigh Rosenberger
at 9 o'clock. One hour later. Mrs. Bartz married Frederick
J. Fiegl, Lewiston Road. Middleport, at St. Mary's Rectory, with
the Rev. Albert G. Winter, officiating. Mr. Fiegl's daughter and
Mrs. Bartz' son were their attendants.
Miss Jones chose a black and
white check bolero suit with navy
accessories and a corsage of pink
roses for her marriage to Mr.
Bartz.
Her matron of honor, the mother
of the groom, wore a navy
blue crepe dress with matching
accessories, and a gardenia corsage.
Albert S. Jones, uncle of t h e
bride, was best man.
Miss Jones graduated from Akron
High School and Miss Williams'
Business School, and t h e
groom attended Lockport H i gh
School.
MOTHER'S WEDDING
One hour later, the newly-weds
were standing In the Rectory of
St. Mary's Church before a priest,
hearing the wedding vows repeated
by their matron of honor.
Mrs. Lucy Barts and Mr. Fiegl
were kttended by Mr. Fiegl's
daughter. Mrs. William Steblein,
and Robert Bartz, the recent
groom.
Mrs. Steblein. was dressed in a
fuchsia two piece wool suit, with
navy blue accessories. She wore
a corsage of yellow roses.
DOUBLE RECEPTION
A double celebration followed the
two double-ring ceremonies, with
a reception for 15 at the home of
Mrs. Steblein, 84 Erie St., Lockport.
Eight were seated at the
bridal table centered with an arrangement
of Spring flowers and
flanked on either side by two
three-tiered wedding cakes.
Each groom presented his bride
with a yellow gold wrist watch.
Following the reception. Mr. and
Mrs. Bartz left for Florida, where
they will spend an extended honeymoon.
Upon their return, they
will reside on the Dyslnger Road.
Mr. and Mrs. Fiegl went to their
home on the Lewiston Road in
Middleport.
