NEWFANE, May 25 - Joseph
Dixon, 65, McKee Road, former superintendent
of highways in Newfane
township, died suddenly at
noon today while driving home in
bit automobile on Mam Street
from work at the Lockport Felt
Company. He slumped down in
I the seat and tbe car crashed into
a tree in front of Newfane Central
School. The car was damaged.
Dr. Mabel Carmer. coroner, issued
a certificate of death due to
a heart affliction.
His wife, Florence Brandt Dixon
survives.

NEWFANE, May 25 - services
for Joseph Dixon, 65, McKee Road
who died Friday noon of a heart
attack in his automovile hwille re-
turning home from work at the
Lockport Felt Company, will be
held Monday at 2:30 at the Corwin
Funeral Home, 27 North Main St.
Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery.
Mr. Dixon was born in Newfane
son of Joseph and Anna O'Dadald
Dixon, and had been a farmer in
the town for many years. At one
time he served as highways super-
intendent of the town.
Mr. Dixon was driving his auto-
mobile when stricken and was
found dead after the automobile
left the highway and struck a tree
near Newfane School. He had
had several previous attacks.
Besides his wife,, Florence Brandt
Dixon he leaves a brother, John
Dixon and a sister,, Miss Mary
Dixon, both of Niagara Falls.
