  Buffalo NY Courier Express - 4/10/1955 Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Frederick Brauen. 89-year-old retired Swiss-born farmer and cheesemaker of Clarence. He is survived by seven sons. 42 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Mr. Brauen died Friday, one day after his 89th birthday. The funeral will he at 2 tomorrow afternoon at Brethren in Christ Church, Clarence Center. He came to the United States from Switzerland in 1888, became an American citizen, and 43 years ago settled on the Strickler Rd. farm near Clarence where he died. Mr. Brauen retired in 1921. Five of his sons-Alfred. John. Arnold. Fred and Ernst-live in Clarence. Benjamin resides in Collins Center and Walter in Selkirk. Ont. Mr Brauens wife died in 1931.
