Mr. and Mis. Frederick W. J. Brauer
of Bouck street announce the engagement
of their daughter, Lydia H. Re
gina. to Elmer G. Goerss of North Tonawanda,
the wedding to take place in
June.

A very, pretty wedding was solemn-
zed Tuesday evening at eight o'clock
at the St. Matthew's Evangelical
Lutheran church when Miss Lydia
Regina Brauer and Elmer George
H Goerss were married. Reverend Karl
Frankenstein performed the double
ring ceremony before an altar decor-
ated with palms and ferns. Professor
Karl Fischle played "March Poniifi-
cale" by Gounod, for the processional
and Mendelsohn's "Wedding March"
for the recessional.
The bride; who was given in marriage
by her father, was gowned in
ivory white satin de lyon with geor
gette and a veil arranged in nun's
fashion with orange blossome. .She
m carried a shower bouquet of bridal
roses, gypsophelia and lilies of the
valley.
Miss Esther Ruth Brauer. maid of
honor, wore a gown of flowered sea-
foam green georgette over orchid
charmeuse satin with pale green
marabou and Silver ribbon and car-
ried a shower bouquet of pink Colum-
bia roses and gypsophelia.
The bridesmaids, Miss Anna Brauer,
Miss Mary Knothe and. Miss Mildred
Martin were gowned in crepe de chene
with silver ribbon and marabou coresponding
to the colors of their respective
gowns Miss Anna Brauer in
pink. Miss Knothe in corn color and
Miss Martin in orchid. They carried
shower bouquets of butterfly roses
and prypsophelia.
Herbert Goerss, brother of the
groom, was best man and the grooms-
men were Henry B. Demler. Ralph
Klettke and Martin J. Brauer. brother
of the bride. Dr. Benjamin Sprenger
and Norman Goerss acted' as ushers.
Mrs. Brauer was gowned in navy
blue canton crepe with cream lace
rnd wore a corsage of orchid sweet
peas.
Mrs. Goerss was gowned in black
satin and crepe with lace, and wore a
corsage of orchid sweet peas.
Following the ceremony a wedding
dinner was served to forty-five guests.
The bride's table being centered with
a beautiful wedding cake. Decorations
were in pink and white throughout
the house.
Among the out of town guests were
Dr. and Mrs. Benjamin Sprenger of
Pittsburgh. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph
Klettke of Niagara Falls, Mr. and
Mrs. George Steffen and Miss Ella
Sprung of Lockport. and Miss Nora
Lippert of Buffalo.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Goerss will be
at home at 115 Highland avenue after
July 4
