A Clarence-Center woman was
killed about 9 o'clock Friday night
when the care in which he was rid-
ing collided with another machine
at Goodrich and Wolcott Roads,
Clarence Center, Erie County. She
was Mrs.. Betty Brauer, 21 of Wol-
cott Road. The dead woman's hus-
band, Donald, 24, with whom she
was riding, suffered shock and lac-
erations.
Cpl. John J. Chambers of the
State Police at Clarence said Mr.
Brauer's car collided with an auto
driver by Wilbur J. Pleas, 24, of
Goodrich Road at the slippery intersection.
The impact caused Mr.
Brauer's machine to swerve 25 feet
off the road into a concrete landing
in front of the David Bauer Tavern.
Both Mr. Brauer and his wife were
thrown from the car. Mrs. Brauer
was pronounced dead by Dr. David
Fisher of Clarence Center. Medical
Examiner Aaron Wagner said he
would withhold a death certificate
pending a report from state police
Mr. Pless was reported uninjured.
Mrs. Brauer leaves her husband,
Donald W. Brauer; her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Christ Ribbeck, her grandfather.
Philip Miller, Wolcott Road;
a sister, Violet H. Ribbeck, at home
Services will be held Monday at
2:15 at the home and 2:30 at St.
Paul's Lutheran Church, Woteottsburg.
Burial will be in St Paul's
Lutheran Cemetery.
