North Broad St . Wellsville. died Friday
(Feb 24, 1996) at the McCollumn Home
in Canisteo
She was born in Wellsville the
daughter of Andrew and Emma Knorr
Braunschweiger
A graduate of Immaculate Concep
tion School and Wellsville High School,
she received her teaching degree from
Geneseo Normal School She taught in
several rural schools, and Jatei -Ml
Coming Free Academy Endicott
schools and Richburg Central School,
until her retirement in 1963
She was a lifelong member of Immaculate
Conception Church and its
Rosary Altar Society, and the New York
State Retired Teachers Association
She is survived by one sister, Flo
rence Reuss of Buffalo, and nieces,
nephews and cousins
She was predeceased by two brothers,
Andrew and Max
There were no prior calling hours A
prayer service was held at 10 a m Monday
at Curry s Funeral Home, 297
Canisteo St , Hornell, with the Rev
Stephen Kraus, pastor of St Joachim's
Church in Canisteo, officiating Burial
was in Sacred Heart Cemetery,
Wellsville A memorial Mass will be
celebrated at a later date.
